The Wandering Williams

Drought Poem

No rain, no water,
No water, no plants,
No plants, no flowers,
No flowers, no air,
No air, everybody dies,
The rain has not appeared for years,
All the children are sick,
Then suddenly a drop of clear, blue rain fell on my head,
I yelled for my mother,
All the children in the school danced and thanked God.
